As part of Mubadala’s volunteering efforts which have included cleaning mangroves in Abu Dhabi and participating in painting a special needs school. Mubadala employees in a testament to our values, joined forces with Operation Smile UAE to sponsor two international volunteering missions in 2023. These missions weren't just about giving back – they were also about rallying employees around a common purpose while providing them with an opportunity to do good.
The life-changing surgeries for children and adults suffering from cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial anomalies saw Mubadala volunteers, alongside esteemed medical professionals from Mubadala Health and other global healthcare organizations, lending their expertise to support individuals undergoing these vital procedures. From patient care to surgical assistance, every contribution brought hope and healing to those in need.
Building on the success of the initial North African mission, a second expedition to Ghana further expanded the programs reach and impact with Mubadala volunteers supporting 180 surgeries. The impact of our collaboration with Operation Smile UAE resonated far beyond the confines of the operating room. With each surgery performed, lives were transformed and smiles were restored. The partnership served as a beacon of hope for entire communities and a catalyst for positive sustainable change.
As Mubadala continues its journey and commitment to social responsibility, and positive impact, we are committed to partnering with organizations like Zayed Higher Organization, Emirates Nature WWF and Operation Smile UAE to add further value to our employee engagement programs while encouraging the transformative power of compassion and collaboration beyond just doing business.
